From A Laser Scan

We did a laser scan of a cell phone cover and then began to work. The code was generated from the scan using RAMS Software.

Cell Phone

From the laser scan, we cut this cell phone. All the cutting was done on a MAXNC Mill.

4 Axis On The MAXNC

Theres a ring in there somewhere! 4 axis is easy with MAXNC and RAMS Software.

Another Ring!

Multiple rings can be cut from a single wax tube. Here we are starting a second ring. We teach jewelers how to get the most from their efforts.

Nearly Finished

Lighted from the inside, you can see the smooth finish and how evenly the mill cuts. We just cut away everything that didn't look like a ring! ;-)

4 Axis Cutting Is Easy!

This ring was cut into brass stock. The G Code was generated by RAMS Gold Software.

Tiny Fan

These two little pieces are perfect. Cut from a simple DXF file, this is easy work.

Clock Gears

These two gears are for a clock. Several of our customers are clock and watch makers.

Making Chips!

Here we are cutting a vise body from 7075 Aluminum. This is a .25" tool taking a 1/8" cut.

Digitizing

The Model was digitized using the MAXNC Probe, then the 2 models were cut. Once you have a code file, you can cut as many models as you wish!

Digitizing

The little key chain fob was digitized then milled. Fine detail can be reproduced using the MAXNC mill and digitizer probe.

From A Solids File

Solids files from modeling programs are easily turned into reality. Here a 7075 Aluminum part is cut. Perfect contours! The engraving was done on the MAXNC as well.

Digitized Face

About any existing model can be digitized and reproduced to the same or a different scale. The Probe writes the code as it digitizes the model. The plaster model was the original.

4th Axis Impeller

Here is the start of an impeller cut from 7075 Aluminum. With a 4th axis, you can make about anything!

First Model !

This customer had never ran a CNC mill. He made this part the first day he got his machine. I would like to see what he did the second day!

Fancy!

How fancy do you want?? Here is a beautiful example of our Cimagrafi software and milling at work. Notice the background is domed!

Chess Anyone?

You can downlaod the code to cut this from our "Free G Code" page. From a Corel Draw BMP... to a ready to cut file in Cimagrafi.

Multiple Parts

Ron makes many different parts and shares images with us. He works in stainless steel and aluminum. Nice work Ron! Thanks for sharing!

Circular Pocket

Free code is also on our site for this circular pocket. This is 7075 aluminum.

It Fits!

Inlay is easy with the Maxnc. We measured the disc, drew the circle to size in CAD and produced the code with RAMS CAM Software.

Engine Part

Want to make an engine?? Here, an engine part that was digitized has been cut. All on a MAXNC Mill.

Stamping Die

We cut this stamping die from 6061 Aluminum in our shop. The MAXNC mill is accurate and tough!

Soldering Jig

This is a test cut for a soldering jig we make here at DeArmond Tool. The actual jigs were made of teflon. Code was generated by RAMS Software.

Stainless Steel

These are model jet engine mounts cut by a customer. This is Stainless Steel. The jet engines do run! Nice tough work!

Tiny Fonts

The MAXNC mill will cut from large to tiny models. Notice if we laid the dime over the name, it would cover the entire project. The uprights are 1/64" wide.

First Test

A customer sent us this image. This was his first try. We haven't heard from him in a few days but thats normal... he's having fun!

DeArmond Tool Services

We can generate 3D drawings for you from about any source! Just call or e-mail. This coin started from a fax sent by a customer.

4 Axis Finished Ring

4 Axis projects are easy and fast. Just a little time on a mill can get great results!
